Must AI be professionalized to ensure ethical development?
Perspectives from research, medicine, ethics and the industry, and ample time for roundtable discussions about ethical development of artificial intelligence.
Description
Ethically resposible digitization is a challenge facing all industries and all disciplines. In this workshop we discuss the social and ethical issues that arise as a result of AI. In order to effectively shape the digital society, we need to have a clear understanding of what such issues might be and how they can be professionalised. Or should they be professionalised?
In this meeting we will present various issues, cases and let the participants discuss them in groups. Examples:
What is a social dilemma, how prevalent is it in society, how well is it discussed in the context of AI?
What is the social dilemma for AI developers, how does it arise and what are its mechanisms. How do we attempt to solve it today, and does this work?
Who has the responsibility for the ethical development of AI (legally and in practice)?
How could responsibility be shared, how can compliance be ensured in daily practice?
Should AI development become professionalised? How?
Note that this event is in English. After all presentations we organize a question round, and you will be able to ask questions to the speakers. There will be served snacks and drinks for attendees starting from 16.30 to 17.00.
